Creating From the Heart

Moon Rutherford (born in 1993 in Chicago) is an Indianapolis-based intuitive abstract painter, award-winning House DJ, and multidisciplinary artist. His practice explores spirituality, deep emotional healing, cultural identity, personal transformation, and the complexities of the human experience.

As a Black and Choctaw Native man, Moon draws from his lived experiences to create artwork that speaks to resilience, emotional awareness, and the journey toward healing.

Through abstract expressionism, he communicates feelings that cannot always be captured through words. His compositions transform color, movement, and texture into deeply personal experiences, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions and inner worlds.

At the foundation of his artistic philosophy lies a simple belief: Your heart is a portal, and love is the key.

Our Artistic Philosophy

MORE THAN WHAT YOU SEE

Art That Invites You to Feel

Moon's approach is guided by intuitive exploration, spiritual understanding, color theory, and an extensive study of sacred texts.

Rather than simply creating visually striking compositions, his work invites people into moments of reflection, emotional release, and self-discovery.

Through the expressive language of abstraction, each piece becomes an opportunity to experience the relationship between creativity and the heart.
